The Stories in the Stone program brings together a diverse population of students to explore Connecticut’s cultural, historical, and geological past. A special emphasis is placed on the manner in which Connecticut’s landscape affected the course of human events. Students will visit each of the four landscape provinces to conduct a multi-faceted examination of its topographic features, rock/soil type, ecology, land use, and general character. Additionally, cultural and historical trips will include a selection of visits to significant locations within the state.
