A Our traveling programs utilize NGSS’s Three-Dimensional Learning Model/Frameworks for K-12 Science Education as a foundation. “These frameworks describe scientific literacy as resting on a view of “science as both a body of knowledge and an evidence-based, model and theory building enterprise that continually extends, refines, and revises knowledge” (NRC). This approach, with its corresponding standards, allows students to construct knowledge, understand the dynamic nature of science and engineering, and see its real-world impact and relevancy”. In using this model, our programs address grade level appropriate NGSS “Performance Expectations”; each having correlations/connections to CCS and CSDE K-12 Curriculum Frameworks in science, social studies, math, technology, and language arts. Students gain a better understanding of the central role of science and technology in their lives and contemporary society.
Students are challenged to obtain the skills and competencies needed in school, and later in life, the workforce as it stresses the constructive approach to learning in which students build, activate, and organize knowledge through collaborative efforts. A brief sampling of these programs follows. Please understand that not all those listed are appropriate for all grade levels.
